Bone Broth Soup
- Bring 3-4 cups of water to a boil
- Add ribs, {meat}, {carrots}, potatoes, onions
- Simmer for one hour
- Add greens and a few beaten eggs
- Continue simmer for 10 minutes
Goulash
- Melt butter / add oil and add onions
- Add meat
- Add garlic, tomatoes, bell peppers
- Add salt, paprika
- Add broth, carrots, potatoes, bring to a boil and simmer for 40 minutes
- Season with black pepper and oregano
Braised Cabbage with Shiitake Mushrooms
- Break cabbages into sizable chunks, stir-fry in oil
- Add shiitake mushrooms
- Add marinated meat and pork ribs + cooking sake
- Add water + seasonings + carrots + potatoes, then bring to a boil
- Simmer for 1.5 hours
Smoky Potato Stew
- Sauté onions and meat
- Add diced potatoes and carrots
- Add water + paprika, a dash of soy sauce and simmer for 45 minutes
- Smash a few potatoes against the side of the pot to thicken the sauce
Provençal Greens Soup
- Saute onions in oil
- add diced potatoes and simmer
- add leafy greens + herbs + salt until tender
- mash potatoes in the soup
(optional) add beaten egg at serving time
Jambalaya
- Saute onions, bell peppers and celery
- Add meat
- Add paprika, garlic, and a pinch of cayenne (or extra black pepper)
- Add broth, bring to a boil, them simmer for 5 minutes
A stew, but I haven't named it yet 😶
Rustic Pork Stew?
- Saute onions and mushrooms.
- Add pork ribs + cooking sake
- Add marinated meat + tomatoes + cooking sake
- Add seasonings and some water, mix well, then add carrots, potatoes. Add water to barely cover the pot.
- Bring to a boil then simmer for 1-1.5 hours.
- Seasonings: salt, soy sauce / shoyu / oyster sauce
- Tips: brown pork ribs before adding water for more flavor.
- Marinated Meat: add cooking sake, honey, shoyu
